Full Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. The Live Productions Team within Technical Services are seeking two Technical Services Associates to assist within the busy Wardrobe Department. In this role, you'll support the Wardrobe Supervisor with the hiring, altering, and adjusting of garments for productions, as well as managing record-keeping and data entry tasks.,

  • Collaborate with the Wardrobe technical team to ensure costumes are prepared on time for productions.
  • Perform garment alterations, sewing, and maintenance.
  • Operate a sewing machine for costume adjustments.
  • Manage the Connect2 booking system for costume hire and returns.
  • Assist with the coordination of costume hire and returns.
  • Maintain organization in the wardrobe and dressing rooms.
  • Report Health and Safety hazards and equipment issues to Technical Staff.
  • Assist with the washing, ironing, and preparation of garments.
  • Support the fittings process for productions.

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills
  • Ability to complete tasks efficiently and meet deadlines

  • Practical sewing and garment alteration skills
  • Genuine interest in theatre and live productions
  • Desirable:
  • Previous experience working in a theatre or wardrobe environment
