About the Technical & Services business area We've been building our in-house tech expertise year on year, as more and more clients turn to us for smart, value-adding tech solutions. From AI and Digital Workspace to Hybrid Infrastructure & Cyber Security, there's huge potential to grow your technical know-how and experience by helping us take our technology solutions to another level. The departments in our Technical & Services area include: Architectural Services, Professional Services, Cyber Services, Resource Desk, Advisory, Project management. Examples of previous interns hired in this area:- Services - Intelligence Intern, MDL (managed device lifecycle) Intern PLEASE NOTE: The above roles are not guaranteed and may be subject to change Get the most out of your placement year As an Intern in the Technical & Services area you'll be:
  • Joining a specific team within the Technical & Services department
  • Taking on a role within the team, assigned to specific responsibilities and duties
  • Supporting with technical and/or service-related queries, projects and engagements with customers
  • Learning about your team and department and how they contribute to Softcat's success
  • Engaging and collaborating with the sales department and other teams and departments to help maintain high levels of service to our customers
  • Building key skills such as organisation, time management and communication
  • Collaborating with other Softcat interns on group projects

    A current undergraduate University student studying in the UK/Ireland in your penultimate year, from any degree discipline
  • A passion for technology and entering the technology industry
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships externally and internally
  • The ability to use your own initiative and work independently or as part of a team
  • Demonstrate an alignment to our Softcat values & culture
