Full Job Description

As the Technical Services Manager and member of the operational services team you will be responsible for the delivery of digital services within the Trust. You will work with Trust management, staff and relevant NHS and external stakeholders to create, develop and maintain a high service level for the Trust using best practice. Being a senior member of the operational services team, you will be required to mentor and coach other members of the digital department aiding career development and to be the technical authority within the team. You will work closely with all elements of the Digital department to develop the Digital workforce and service infrastructure to provide a robust and resilient platform on which the Trust can rely enabling it deliver first class healthcare to its stakeholders., · processes and proactively reducing risks.
· Provide advice and act, where necessary, in response to audit findings and recommendations in respect of IT systems and IT service provision.
· Actively support the development of all business cases and bids where IT is involved, providing a quality check ensuring that all costs are identified and that expected benefits are capable of being achieved and delivered.
· Provide reports in relation to KPIs of IT services provided; provide recommendations on methods of improvement and implement improvement plans in a timely manner.
+ Provide management cover for other Digital Teams as required.
+ To deputise for the Chief Technology Officer - infrastructure and Operations as required.

· Strong Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop technical teams effectively.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
· Strong problem-resolving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results and continuous improvements.
· In depth knowledge of Cloud technology, such as Azure or AWS.
· In depth working knowledge of Microsoft core technology, Microsoft Server DNS, AD, DHCP.
· Advanced working knowledge of VMWare technology, ideally vCentre 7
· Excellent Server administration knowledge, ideally Dell VXRails/ESXi hosts
· Deep knowledge of Microsoft Server
· Successful implementation of infrastructure focused projects
Knowledge and Experience desired
Knowledge of IT legislation and regulation, particularly within the NHS (or public sector)
· Experience of client endpoint management, eg Microsoft OS, SCCM, Intune
· Enterprise experience of vulnerability management.
· Good working knowledge of Networking protocols, technologies and architectures (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP)
· Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices, including Firewalls, VPN's
· Experience of Change management, Incident management and problem management.
· Project and budget management
Suitable for someone who
Has a proven track record of leading technical teams, technical projects and delivering services to the business. Can deliver a high quality Digital healthcare service, who is a confident communicator and can influence, inspire, mentor and lead others towards delivery of the Trust's digital strategy.
You will have a broad technical understanding of enterprise level technology stack with the ability to design, implement and resource projects whist maintaining the overall delivery of business as usual within the Digital department. This role will suit an individual who has the drive, enthusiasm and ability to motivate themselves and individuals to deliver exceptional customer service in the provision of services in a constantly evolving and innovative environment.
