Full Job Description

The Technical Services Manager for End User Compute will provide technical expertise and vision for the configuration of the End User Compute environment. This will cover all end user device technologies, be it desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile devices and all associated management tools and technologies., Work with the Senior Technical Services Managers in the third line team to:
1. Managing the End User Compute work streams to ensure we provide a robust and streamlined EUC experience to the Trust.
2. Make a positive contribution to Customer Relationship Management by ensuring that users and other relevant staff are notified in a timely and professional manner of changes made which affect the operation of specific ICT equipment.
3. Manage designated projects according to PRINCE 2 principles, ensuring project objectives are met in accordance with quality, budget and timescales. Documenting all project work to departmental standards.
4. Give presentations of systems to users and other interested parties as required.
5. Keep abreast of current developments within the computer and related industries.
6. Responsible for Integrating best practices, evolving technologies and EUC platforms such as traditional PC desktop/laptop technology, thin client technology, and overall Enterprise Mobility as well as integrating end user devices into existing solutions

The post holder will have significant expertise of the technologies used by the Trust to manage its environment, which should include Microsoft Enterprise Mobility, including Intune and SCCM, Azure Active Directory, Virtual Applications and Desktops such as Citrix XenApp and VMware Horizon, and SSO technologies.
