About the role As a Wireless SME, you'll be a definitive source of knowledge in the field of wireless technology. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing organizational efficiency, solving complex challenges, and driving innovation. It is to be understood that this is a customer facing role. The focus will be on delivering stable wireless environment to our growing number of customers adopting a wireless first approach to their infrastructure. You will be supporting complex multi-service trouble-shooting and diagnostics, and actively engage to propose enhancement to the solution and the associated service wrap. Responsibilities: Technical Expertise:

  • Apply deep knowledge of wireless communication protocols, standards, and technologies (such as Wi-Fi, cellular networks, Bluetooth, and IoT).
  • Evaluate business operations and processes related to wireless systems.
  • Identify areas where technical solutions can improve business performance.
  • Provide leadership in complex multi-service trouble-shooting or problem management, coordinating with other parties (internal and external) on identifying root causes of performance issues and defining plans to eliminate them
  • Be the technical subject matter expert for our customers on any performance related discussions, design or service evolution engagements.
  • Solution Design and Implementation:
  • Recommend technical solutions based on business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement wireless solutions.
  • Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of wireless systems.
  • Provide guidelines to delivery teams on ideal set up, implementation and testing techniques.
  • Engage with Orange engineering when changes to the standard set up are required to meet customer needs and manage the associated onboarding governance.
  • Training and Mentorship:
  • Develop and deliver specialized training sessions for team members.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance on wireless technology best practices.
  • Ensure accurate representation of expertise in training materials.
  • Project Support:
  • Assist project teams in ensuring the accuracy and relevance of wireless content.
  • Review and validate project deliverables against established standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve wireless-related issues.
  • Research and Innovation:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
  • Propose innovative solutions to enhance wireless capabilities.

    Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in wireless technology.
  • Proven track record as a Wireless SME.
  • Skills:
  • In-depth understanding of wireless protocols (e.g., 802.11, LTE, 5G).
  • Proficiency in network design, security, and performance optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of Cisco Wireless environment.
  • Knowledge also of Aruba and Juniper would be beneficial.
  • Certifications (preferred but not mandatory):
  • Certified Wireless Network Expert (CWNE), Cisco CCNA/CCNP Wireless, or equivalent.
  • Communication:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable to articulate technical arguments with customer SMEs and to lead complex trouble-shooting engagements., Deep understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Strong understanding of telecoms and IT infrastructure, cloud services, security, and software platforms, including Infrastructure as a code.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise tooling for ITSM, monitoring and AIOps.
  • Excellent virtual team management, and decision-making skills.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional service to customers.
