Full Job Description

RES provides clinical support to the pupils of Chailey Heritage School and a large number of outpatients referred from local services who cannot meet these clients' needs. The Rehabilitation Engineering Service has a large in-house manufacturing workshop.
This post is situated within a specialist pre-dominantly paediatric rehabilitation engineering service (RES). The client group currently served, have severe and complex physical disabilities and therefore require bespoke assistive technology (AT) solutions in order to undertake activities of daily living. The equipment has a clinical role in the care of the child helping to prevent deformity in particular that associated with seating standing and lying.
This post is key in the successful provision of this equipment through excellent stores management., To identify and work with the Management team in the development of processes relating to the stores and to take responsibility for ensuring the stock levels within stores are maintained at an operational level and are of an acceptable quality.
To work as part of the departmental team and, on occasion, provide technical assistance to the engineers.
To implement existing process for stock control, stock inspection, ordering and receipt of goods.
