Full Job Description

The Technical Support Engineer's main tasks are:

  • Support the repair and overhaul of aircraft components, ensuring compliance with airworthiness regulations
  • Assist Operations with developing new processes and procedures based on approved data (OEM)
  • Ensure published work aligns with authority requirements, safety info, and manufacturer data
  • Obtain approval for deviations from published data, following internal and external procedures
  • Provide technical support to Operations (e.g., reports, tooling info, work instructions, CAD designs)
  • Assist in technical investigations and recommend improvements for new products, processes, and quality issues
  • Support the development of new capabilities by providing tooling, equipment, and training
  • Help develop processes in NDT, machining, metal treatment, paint removal, and plating
  • Facilitate creation and updates of Master Task and Parts Lists in SAP, ensuring alignment with OEM data

  • Degree in Engineering (BEng) or equivalent experience; HND/industry experience also considered
  • Training in Lean manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Statistical Process Control preferred
  • Additional language skills (German/French) are beneficial
  • Manufacturing industry experience, ideally in Aircraft/MRO environment, with OEM data support
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and basic metrology
  • Experience with production control systems (MRP/ERP/SAP)
  • Familiarity with LTLGS manufacturing technologies (e.g., Machine Shop, NDT, Plating, Assembly)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel, Visual Basic helpful)
  • Experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks) and basic simulation (FEA, kinematics)
  • Knowledge of Project Management and aircraft industry airworthiness (EASA 145, CAMO, FAA, ICAO)
  • Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical
  • Ability to interact with production, management, and customers
  • Must have the right to live and work in the UK
