Full Job Description

The Technical Support Officer will form part of the team responsible for the efficient processing of planning and building control applications by checking site histories, site constraints and by plotting sites, and areas, on the Council's Geographic Information System (GIS). The Officer will also be responsible for the preparation of maps, amaintaining spatial data on the GIS, identifying and consulting consultees, the administration of planning appeals and a variety of technical and administrative roles in support of the services provided by the team.

The Officer should work well within a team, possess good communication skills and be IT literate with experience of using Geographic Information Systems. You should possess strong negotiation skills and some training will be provided.
