Technical Support Scientist

The Manufacturing Technical Support Scientist for Cytiva is responsible for providing scientific technical assessment and support to the manufacturing production teams to facilitate on going product release to our customers. This position is part of the Biology & Chemistry Manufacturing Department located in Cardiff, UK and will be an on site role. • Work as part of a Technical Support team working with the manufacturing operation teams in Biology & Chemistry department, comprising products in the Diagnostic & Genomics and Lab Filtration product portfolio's, supporting customers with lab based Molecular & Immuno-diagnostics.
• Lead implementation of technical improvement projects related to site and department KPI's
• Perform technical trouble shoot activities to ensure products perform and meet quality release criteria and customer expectations.
• Completion of risk and/or impact assessments for proposed changes to process in approved QMS systems, assessing the impact to product quality and our customers.
• Support Manufacturing Operations with scientific expertise to ensure successful transfer of new products from Development and Customs team to Manufacturing ensuring robust manufacturing processes are handed over.
  
  Requires minimum of BSc (Hons) in relevant scientific discipline or equivalent relevant laboratory experience
• Requires laboratory experience and knowledge in disciplines relevant to Manufacturing Operations of the area.
• Have an understanding of Manufacturing best practices, QMS systems and key performance indicators
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and analyse data/information to provide possible solutions using technical experience and judgement
• Proven experience presenting data, and complex information to others.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
• Desirable to have working knowledge and experience of Veeva, Magic and Oracle
• Working knowledge of statistics used to identify trends, outliers and identify statistically significant differences in data sets.
