Technical Team Leader - Stores and Distribution

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong leadership skills and an enthusiasm for pharmacy operations to lead our stores and distribution services on our Aintree site

Working with the Technical Services Manager for Purchasing, Stores and Distribution you will lead and develop the existing stores and distribution teams towards our vision of merging into one cross-site team for purchasing and distribution services across LUHFT.

This post is full time (37.5 hours) but options for flexible working apply., Your core role will involve leading the team responsible for the safe and effective receipt and distribution of medicines on the Aintree site. You will be a key member of the Procurement Operational Group, linking in with purchasing and medicines value colleagues to ensure robust processes are in place to provide stocked medicines to our wards and departments. You will also support the management of critical supply shortages across LUHFT.

You must possess excellent organisational skills to undertake this role: You must be able to work accurately, have a good eye for detail, be able to prioritise your workload, meet deadlines and be committed to the delivery of high standards in a patient focused service. Experience of working as a Technician leader in a busy Pharmacy department is essential, as is an excellent working knowledge of good distribution practice and processes. A good knowledge or experience of working in a Pharmacy store in possession of WDA(H) would also be beneficial to anyone considering this role.
