Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit a UK Technical Trainer Assessor to join the Training and Competence team. The role will be based predominately to support our Norwich site but you could be required to support any of our other UK locations listed above. The candidate will report to the Head of Training and Competence.,

  • Designing, delivering and continually improving Technical and operational training programmes - including but not limited to sub systems of Stadler rolling stock, Personal Track Safety, Designated persons and Depot Driving.

  • Being a subject matter expert for new Stadler rolling stock and ensuring all staff are trained and competent to carry out their roles.

  • Remaining current and up to date with in service changes and modifications made to Stadler rolling stock and re-train/re-brief staff when required.

  • Supporting the production team by providing coaching and mentoring on new fleets, to ensure staff maintain high standards of work and technical expertise.

  • Ability to assist with development of technical instructions and procedures and ensure that training, assessment and coaching content is amended or developed as required.

  • Ensuring Training methods, standards, facilities and equipment remain fit for purpose to support effective delivery.

  • Identify Training equipment requirements and assist in the creation of new equipment to support with training staff.

  • Supporting the Training & Competence Management team to identify training needs for roles across the business.

  • Ensure comprehensive records are maintained and analysed to inform future training programmes and provide an audit trail.

  • Undertake high quality assessments and make decisions and provide feedback to candidates., I am the contact for employees and managers for any employee queries, recruitment and onboarding.

  • Attainment of NVQ/BTEC Level 3 in a relevant Engineering discipline (preferably Electrical bias)

  • Experienced fault finding including remote and off platform diagnostics.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings and electrical schematics.

  • Experience of applying coaching, mentoring or instructional skills in the workplace.

  • Excellent IT skills and ability to work with the Microsoft Office packages.

  • Proactive attitude with willingness to travel.

  • Experience of working on new Rail Vehicles

  • Experience of systems such as Vehicle Control, Digital Networks, Communication and Positioning, Safety Systems, HVAC, Propulsion, PIS CCTV, and Door Systems.

  • PT&C band 4 salary

  • 40-hour working week, Monday - Friday.
