Join us as a Technical Writer

  • We’ll look to you to advocate for end users and customers who will be using our documentation
  • You’ll be creating, writing and editing technical API documentation as well as user manuals, software documentation, and instructional guides

What you'll do

As a Technical Writer, you'll be collaborating with feature teams to review draft documentation and revise existing documentation for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to industry standards

Day-to-day, you’ll be:

  • Organising and maintaining a documentation repository, including version control, release notes and wider accessibility for team members and stakeholders.
  • Spending time with product owners, product managers, engineers, and architects to stay up-to-date with product updates, changes, and developments, facilitating smooth information exchange for accurate documentation
  • Researching and gathering information from subject matter experts, feature teams, technical documents, and existing resources ensuring the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the documentation

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you’ll need experience as a Technical Writer in a tech organisation and passion for creating great technical documentation. We kindly request that you attach writing samples to your application to help us with the review process. You’ll also demonstrate your expertise in tech writing by including samples with your application.

Furthermore you’ll demonstrate:

  • Setting the standard of our technical documentation with the opportunity to take ownership across growing domains

  • Willingness to adapt to different projects, work with cross-functional teams, and actively communicate with stakeholders ensuring successful collaboration and the ability to meet project goals
  • Excellent command over language, grammar, and technical writing conventions to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Solid understanding of technical concepts such as API specifications and the ability to grasp complex ideas quickly allows the technical writer to translate technical jargon into user-friendly documentation.
