Full Job Description

We are currently looking for a technically qualified and experienced term time only Technician to provide an effective and efficient technical service to teaching in the Art & Design curriculum area., The successful candidate will need to have a photography-related qualification to degree level or significant industry experience to support teaching staff in skills delivery, particularly in photography. This includes knowledge of the Adobe Suite, digital cameras, and some understanding of analogue photography. Additional duties will include supporting print sessions, facilitating studio set-ups, and assisting students. Other responsibilities will involve maintaining specialist equipment, ordering materials and equipment, managing the equipment loan scheme, and ensuring adherence to health and safety policies.

Who You Are:

You will support practical and technical delivery in studios and specialist workspaces, working alongside teaching staff to support skills delivery to our learners. Duties will also include preparation of materials and set up/ check of equipment for use in practical classes. You need to be creative, a team player, well organised, willing to work with young people, capable of multi-tasking and possess a full range of technician skills.
