Full Job Description

Can you confidently demonstrate your experience of working in a technical capacity within an arts environment and do you have expertise in casting and ceramics? Are you a practicing artist with an interest in working in an educational setting?
As a member of the technical staff team, you will be responsible for the provision of casting and ceramics and professional and technical support to colleagues, students and visitors in these areas. You will provide general technical support, advice and problem solving for teaching, assessments and exhibitions and to visiting artists and curators
You will be a practicing artist, with experience of working in a technical capacity within an arts environment and the operation and control of casting/ceramics technologies for both assessment and exhibition. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain specialist, technical information to non-specialist audiences.
The post will require regular moderate to heavy lifting. Flexible hours of working will be required to facilitate the School's assessment and exhibition schedules.
