Full Job Description

As a Teaching Support Officer in Dog Grooming you will play a vital role to ensure the smooth operational running of our K9 Dog Grooming parlour at the Wisbech Campus. This is a varied role with a focus on working with our students in the parlour and kennels ensuring that stock and equipment are maintained, as well as providing practical support to learners. Our salons are open to the public Monday- Friday allowing our students to get the best hands on experience, so that they leave with industry ready skills and experience. We have invested heavily into the salon to ensure that our students and customers receive the best grooming experience., Please note that all interviews are conducted face to face, we are unable to facilitate online interviews. You will be required to provide references and undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check as well as a barred list check. Your experience and qualifications in dog grooming are far more important than experience in a classroom environment. CWA is proud of its track record of supporting our staff to achieve qualifications. A full Level 3 dog grooming qualification is essential, and have a Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE A

  • -C/9-4) or equivalent or be willing to obtain. Holding a first aid qualification would be an advantage but is not essential.
