Full Job Description
The Flexible Pipe Systems business supplies specialist unbonded flexible subsea flowline and riser systems globally. We devise smarter systems to control and monitor oil and gas extraction. Innovating in the energy industry, we connect subsea and surface with industry leading technology. Partner with the best As a Technician - Welding (d/f/m), you will working within the fabrication team manufacturing production aids for flexible pipe production. You will servicing and repairing Baker Hughes reel fleet and supporting production engineering manufacturing one off bespoke designs. As a Technician - Welding (d/f/m), you will be responsible for:
- Reading and checking engineering drawings
- Following written SOI, COIâs along with verbal instructions with the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with engineers and management
- Using a range of fabrication machinery and power tools
- Demonstrating and collaborating with creative ideas for more effective working practices
- Taking an active lead on incorporating safety improvements, lean improvements, and Kaizen improvements
- Inspecting / fault finding and repairing to the Reel fleet working to required standards
- Passing internal weld procedures to AWS D1.1 3G, 4G and 6G.
- Taking a lead on HSE and always follow the Baker hughes safety culture.
Have successfully completed your Vocational Training as Fabricator/Welder/ Plater/ Pipefitter. Craft / technician - Have experience welding experience and safety qualifications
- Have experience in the oil and gas or energy sector
- Have experience with operating MEWP and Forklift trucks and operating overhead cranes (training provided)
- Be able to read and interpret blueprints
- Have an awareness of HSE requirements and be able to follow all safety policies and procedures Work in a way that works for you
