Full Job Description

We are seeking an independent and highly skilled Technology Implementation Consultant to join our team. This role focuses on maintaining and improving tools and processes used in data migration projects. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in C#, SQL, and process automation to enhance the efficiency and quality of our services. While you will work independently as a developer, you will collaborate closely with data migration consultants to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and ensure high-quality data solutions., · Develop and deliver high-quality data solutions supporting various CCH Software products using T-SQL and C#

· Maintain and improve existing C# application code and tools and develop new tools to enhance team processes.

· Streamline and automate processes to reduce human interaction, minimise errors, and increase efficiency

· Collaborate with project management, professional services, development and other departments to ensure successful service delivery

· Confidently communicate with customers to resolve issues, gather information, and implement process or tool improvements

· Continually assess and refine processes and documentation to incorporate new technologies and improve efficiencies.

· Assist with testing new versions/builds of data solutions and produce supporting documentation and training of colleagues.

· Be on call and participate in data migrations with consultants, ensuring developed tools function correctly and handling any issues that arise.

· Continuously acquire knowledge of CCH Software solutions and products to perform job duties effectively

Skills & Competencies:

· Experiences in C# (up to .Net Framework v4.8) and developing WinForm or WPF applications

· Advanced experience with T-SQL and SQL Server development, including creating, reading and enhancing stored procedures and scripts

· Solid understanding and practical experience with SQL Server database administration, including data import/export, SSIS, job scheduling, and backup/restore operations

· Strong analytical skills and ability to investigate and understand existing software without comprehensive documentation

· Capable of working independently and managing time effectively in a remote environment

· Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team, reaching out for information and support when needed.

· Ability to handle customer interactions confidently and provide exception service.

· Willingness to learn new systems, tools, and technologies, and to share work early for feedback and continuous improvement

· Advanced experience in Microsoft core products - Excel, Word with proficiency in VBA and Power Query.

· Demonstrated proficiency with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps for source control management, including experience with Git for version control and code commits.

· Familiarity with JIRA for managing tasks and workflow, including experience with integrating JIRA with other tools such as Salesforce and Azure DevOps for build updates and enhanced workflow automation (desirable)

· Knowledge of Power BI or similar reporting tools (desirable)

· Knowledge of one or more CCH software applications (desirable)

· Knowledge of Tax and Accountancy or Practice Management applications (desirable)

· Versatile and adaptable with a broad skill set, capable of becoming an expert in specific areas as needed
