Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Temporary Accommodation Officer to join our busy Housing Needs Team.

The emphasis of the post will be attending temporary accommodation units throughout the borough where clients are accommodated, working with them to manage and support timely and positive move on into secured settled accommodation, taking into account the clients housing and support needs.

Your duties will include maximising temporary accommodation availability by carrying out quick and effective turnover of properties when void. You will work closely with housing needs officers to contribute to the decision-making process under the national legislation.

Burnley is in the heart of beautiful countryside and has excellent transport links and rapidly improving facilities.

We are seeking someone with experience of multi-agency and multi-disciplinary working to achieve positive results. You must have experience of providing tenancy and/or resettlement support and of assessing needs, devising and implementing support plans.

You must have the ability to work in demanding situations with customers who are in difficult and stressful circumstances. You must also have the ability to manage a caseload and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

It is essential you have a full current driving license and access to a car for work purposes., Disability Confident
