Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Temporary Staffing Manager to join South London and Maudsley NHS Trust on an 18 month fixed term contract initially. This is a crucial role in ensuring we have the right staff in the right place at the right time to deliver high quality care. This is a pivotal role for the Trust in regards to ensuring effective management of our outsourced temporary staffing provider., The main purpose of this role will be to oversee and support the management of the contract with the Trust's outsourced partner/s for the management of temporary staffing, both medical and non-medical; ensuring identified savings are delivered in contracted timescales, while ensuring the Trust is responsive to the managed service and other outsourced partners requirements. Through the managed service provider and outsourced partners, the post holder will be expected to monitor the performance of agencies, drive agency reduction projects inline with NHS England guidance and lead the Trust's operational work to reduce agency usage and spend across all services to meet the Trust's annual agency spend objectives including driving migration of workers from agency to bank and supporting bank workers to substantive contracts, ensuring optimal use of temporary staff, reducing expenditure and ensuring value for money.
