Full Job Description

This role is key to driving the success of tenders and bids across Becton Dickinson's (BDX) business units within the UK and Ireland. The Tender & Bid Specialist UKI will oversee the entire tender and bid process, ensuring all necessary commercial, financial, and technical information is gathered, and team members are aligned for successful submission. The role focuses on delivering profitable sales, embedding outcomes-based solutions, and contributing to the company's ESG and Sustainability initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to shape BD's future business success while adhering to public procurement laws and standard processes.,

  • Manage the end-to-end tender and bid process
  • Lead activities from pre-tender opportunity identification through post-award performance analysis
  • Align internal and external collaborators, ensuring timely and compliant submissions
  • Engage with initiatives around ESG, Sustainability, and Social Value in the bidding process
  • Develop and maintain key resources, including model answers in the BD Tender & Bid Database
  • Oversee management reporting for the tender and bid pipeline
  • Ensure strict compliance with both internal tender processes and legal requirements
  • Analyse and report on past performance to enhance future performance

    Educated to ideally degree level in a relevant field such as business, economics, or science
  • Proven experience in tender and bid management, ideally within healthcare
  • Solid understanding of public procurement laws, ideally within NHS or similar settings
  • Proven track record in managing multiple stakeholders and complex processes
  • Expertise in contract terms and conditions, with an ability to navigate commercial agreements
  • Proficient in MS Office applications; experience with TenderEyes or SharePoint is beneficial
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, coupled with strong project management abilities, are crucial for this role, Ambitious
