Full Job Description

Mitie currently have an exciting new position for a Tendering Engineer to support the team at Rock Power Connections, a leading Independent Connections Provider!

They are specialists in designing and installing new and upgraded electricity connections to business, industry and commercial properties.

You will be responsible for the development of designs and the associated planning to support both the tender and quotation stage of electrical connection projects.

As well as working closely with clients, the Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), and independent Distribution Network Operators will be a key part of this role to ensure the requirements of all parties are met.

This can be a full time role, but we are also happy to hear from candidates who might not want a full working week, or would like a reduced working day. It can be split between working in the office and at home.

Main Duties

-Preparing and submitting tenders and quotations for work in align with agreed margins.

-Draw site layouts and electrical designs in CAD

-Create compliant designs in accordance with DNO and IDNO design standards.

-Visiting potential clients and sites to survey in order to prepare subsequent tenders and quotations.

-Inviting and collecting quotations from material suppliers and subcontractors.

-Assessing the levels of commercial risk on projects and clear communication of the same to senior management.

Organised planning manner and attention to detail.

-Good knowledge and proficiency of CAD and excel.

-Good clear communicator.

-Keep strict confidentiality.

-Ability to work with frequent interruption.

-A qualification in electrical installations is desirable
