Test Engineer

We are looking for an engineer who can undertake CoSHH inspections and carry out service work on site. The testing element of this work requires the use of instruments to test and record results of various types of extraction system on site. These tests must then be written into reports which are then provided to the customer.

The service element of the work requires the changing of filters and seals in machines. This happens occasionally on the day of test should time allow.

P601 is the standard for testing LEV systems. If you have this certificate already this would be ideal, however as a business we are more interested in finding an individual with the correct mentality to learn the role and grow working within our company working alongside our existing team. The P601 course will be provided once a period of on-the-job training has been completed.

This role requires regular travel with some time spent away in hotels around the UK. A vehicle is provided and we cover the travel and accommodation expenses for our engineers when they are working away from the office.

When not on site the successful candidate would be at our offices in Shropshire to catch up with reports and liaise with customers and the factory where manufactured items are needed for corrective actions.

Duties:

• Inspect and Test various types of extraction systems


• Travel to sites across the UK


• Carry out light service work on site when required


• Liaise with customers to arrange and conduct testing and service work
  
  Full UK Driving License is essential


• Basic hand skills for the use of hand tools and instruments


• Good time keeping and organisational skills


• An ability to work in a team and maintain customer relations
  
  The Salary Range for this role is £28,000 - £35,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications.


Our offices are based in Ditton Priors which is between Bridgnorth and Ludlow. This is approximately 9 miles from Bridgnorth and 13 miles from Ludlow.
