Full Job Description

  • As Hastings continues to expands it unsecured lending business, we're looking for a hands on Test Specialist with experience across frontend, backend and API to own, manage and drive the creation of our test schedules across multiple Lending systems.
  • Day by day, you will help identify any gaps in testing and support the business in developing any solutions that arise from these gaps.
  • You will have the opportunity to lead testing against our plans and coordinate any further testing with the system subject matter experts.
  • While a lot of the testing you will undertake is manual, there is also a big element of exploratory testing.
  • Before any testing begins, you will be the lead to ensure all testing pre-requisites are identified.

    As you will be taking the lead on testing, we need you to have a strong understanding of testing methodologies such as Agile, waterfall and hybrid.
  • We would also like to see some key soft skills, such as automation experience with programming languages like Java, Python and SQL.
  • Because the role also works collaboratively and cross functional, we'd like to see evidence of strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • We also need someone who cane make strong and effective decisions with good problem solving skills.
  • Finally, while not totally necessary, it would good if you have an Understanding of Non-Functional testing covering security and performance test scenarios.
