Test,Survey and Repair

We are currently recruiting for a Test, Survey and Repair Technician.

As a Test , Survey and Repair Technician you will be required To test and inspect various manufactured and bought in products, using the relevant test specification, equipment and processes. In addition, responsible for carrying out surveys on units, diagnosing faults, repairing units and on completion testing to confirm functionality.


Responsibilities of a Test, Surevy and Repair Technician:
 

• To undertake Test and inspection activities as directed by the Test, Survey and repair Lead.

• To produce documentation in detail to support test results.
• Write in-depth reports detailing failures and defective components.
• To inspect products on completion of testing to ensure the highest quality standards are achieved.
• To provide support to Engineering on prototype equipment and procedures, advising on any specialist test requirements needed.
• To assist other departments on manufacturing process instructions.
• To assist in the survey and repair of returned products
• Use problem solving skill to prove faults.
• Repair of units including wiring, card changing and component level changing on cards. 
• Survey of units to establish condition and diagnosing faults.
• Supporting the maintenance and improvement of test equipment.
• Responsible for conducting all work within the company Health and Safety guidelines.
• To undertake a flexible approach to working hours ensuring output and customer requirements are met.
• Undertake other tasks as identified by the business, which are generally in line with the interests and overall development of the Company as a whole.
• Always ensure compliance with the company/department control Procedures.

• Hold a qualification in Electrical & Electronics L3 or higher or equivalent experience.
• A good understanding of test practices.
• Experienced with Microsoft Word, Excel and programming.
• Be able to read circuit diagrams and fault find to component level.
• Be able to repair to IPC 620 and 610 standards.
• Be able to interpret and analyse test results.

• Provide advice on testing to the contracts department to allow comprehensive bids to be placed for existing and future work.
• Have in-depth knowledge of electrical/electronic test equipment.
• Understand Quality Control measures.
• Understand ESD procedures.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A confident and effective problem solver and decision maker whilst working under
• Must be self-motivated, team player and able to work on own initiative.
• Can do attitude.
