Theatre Assistant

The post is based at Leigh infirmary within the day case unit however the successful candidate will be required to rotate across the theatre complexes so it will involve some internal rotation and the shifts will be initially weekday and upon completion of an in house training programme the person would be expected to work weekends and night shifts as part of their rota. It is a full time role (37.5 hours) Monday to Sunday., The successful applicant will be expected to work within all areas of the operating theatre, these areas include escorting patients to and from theatre, assisting the theatre team during the operative period, cleaning and preparing theatre for the smooth progression of the operative list and finally working in the receipt and dispatch area accepting, processing and using stock rotation techniques to maintain stock levels.
