Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated professional to deliver a top-notch administrative and surgical scheduling service for consultants and medical staff within the Maternity, Gynaecology, and Breast Division. This role is crucial in ensuring that patients receive timely surgical interventions based on clinical needs and Trust priorities. Your primary focus will be supporting the Gynaecology and Breast Departments, providing efficient and high-quality scheduling services that make a real difference in patient care.,

  • Provide a comprehensive, high-quality, and efficient theatre scheduling service for Consultant Surgeons.
  • Manage day-to-day workload independently, prioritizing tasks and resolving issues promptly as directed by the Senior Medical Secretary and Theatre Coordinator.
  • Contact patients to inform them of procedure dates and refer them to the relevant clinical team for additional information if needed.
  • Ensure that patients receive their surgical interventions within appropriate timeframes based on clinical need and Trust priorities, and book perioperative assessments in advance of surgery.
