Theatre Healthcare Assistant

Assisting with the provision of a safe Perioperative environment for patients, staff and visitors within the Theatre Suite Assisting staff in setting up theatres with equipment and supplies Participating in circulating duties, providing the Scrub Practitioner with the necessary materials and equipment while adhering to strict Aseptic principles. Assisting with the moving and handling of patients and loads Ensuring that patient privacy and dignity are respected at all times Recognising a clinical emergency and respond in a positive appropriate manner Demonstrating and maintaining awareness of patient confidentiality and ensure a safe and secure environment at all times To be aware of, and demonstrate adherence to, the Hospitals policy on infection control with special attention to provision and use of PPE and sharps awareness. Actively participate in the cleaning of theatres between cases and at the end of a list using the appropriate equipment, PPE and detergents maintaining high
standards of cleanliness To assist in the checking, unpacking and storing of items delivered to the clinical area
