Theatre Practitioner

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and hard-working person to work in our ophthalmology theatres. You must be a registered nurse/ODP with previous ophthalmic experience and be an excellent communicator as you will have everyday contact with multi-professional colleagues where results and positive achievements will be crucial. Exceptional personal and organisational qualities are key attributes in this role. The ability to supervise and coach staff will also be necessary, as will a focus to delivering the highest standards of care and service to our patients., To establish high standards of pre/ peri and post-operative clinical careTo contribute to the delivery of high standards of practice in all aspects of the serviceand in clinical skillsTo coordinate clinical activities and develop clinical expertise through leadershipTo assist in the smooth running and organization of the shift teamTo rotate through the Ophthalmology DepartmentTo ensure high quality patient care is delivered and take appropriate steps if this isnot the caseTo participate in the delivery and organization of formal and informal teachingTo participate in activities/ projects which contribute to the provision and delivery of evidence- base practiceTo provide health education and advice
