We aim to develop staff once established within their primary clinical area, by facilitating rotational positions into at least 2 areas of Operating Department Practice (Recovery, Scrub and Anaesthetics). Opportunities may also be available to rotate into Critical Care for those who want to expand their skillset further. We are always keen to recognise talent and offer the opportunity to advance in different specialties by encouraging rotation and the acquisition of new skills. We encourage our staff to undertake Leadership and Management courses and empower them to develop leadership skills as well as essential clinical-decision making skills to progress within the perioperative environment. PHU NHS Trust are an innovative organisation, and are the first trust in the South East region to introduce the Anaesthetic Associate role. This is an exciting opportunity that will transform our anaesthetic service. This will be an ongoing development opportunity for operating department
