We are looking for ambitious, Scrub Nurse Recovery Band 5 and 6 Nurses to join our friendly and welcoming team.

We are seeking dedicated and motivated qualified professionals to join us in the Theatre department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich.

The operating theatres at QEH provide elective and emergency services 24/7 in orthopaedics, colorectal, general, gynaecology, urology and obstetrics.

If you are already working in the areas of anaesthetics or recovery, or would like to pursue a new career pathway in these specialties, then now is your opportunity to join a hard-working and dedicated team.

Patient safety throughout patient journey in theatre, making sure correct equipment is available at all times.

Theatre recovery nurse provides care to patients immediately post-surgery and post anaesthesia. Assess patients using, for example, ABCDE approach.

We will be conducting selection assessments on the day with the opportunity to leave the event with an offer of employment., The post holder will be responsible for providing a high standard of evidence-based care to patients throughout their operative journey, within the guidelines of the Trust, and the NMC.

The post holder will provide support and guidance to the theatre team within the clinical area, and will assist with the training and development of junior staff and students.

The post holder will take responsibility for running recovery rooms in conjunction with and in the absence of a Senior Theatre Recovery Nurse., 1. Improving representation at senior levels of staff with disabilities, from black, Asian, and ethnic minorities background, identify as LGBTQ+ and women, through improved recruitment and leadership development
