What you'll be responsible for :

  • Undertake nursing assessment and evaluation to enable development of appropriate plans of care based on the needs of the individual.

  • This position involves preparing and maintaining sterile equipment, assisting surgeons during operations, and ensuring patient safety throughout surgical interventions. The flexibility in scheduling enables scrub nurses to manage their work hours effectively, contributing to a balanced lifestyle while providing essential support in high-pressure surgical environments. It's a role that requires precision, teamwork, and a dedication to upholding the highest standards of patient care, making scrub nursing both challenging and immensely rewarding. What you can add :
  • To be responsible for providing skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the operating theatre team
  • To participate in the assessment of patient care needs implementing and maintaining agreed standards of care.
  • Following Codes of Professional Practice provide high quality care to patients undergoing treatment within the Peri-Operative Environment.
  • The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

  • Have a minimum of 6 months experience as a Registered Nurse in Theatres
  • Registered with NMC
  • Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills., Essential
  • Statement of NMC Registration
  • Degree / Diploma in Nursing
  • Experience Essential
  • Have a minimum of 6 months experience as a Theatre Practitioner within the last 3 years.
