Full Job Description

As our Scrub Practitioners/ODP, youll be a vital part of a professional, friendly and compassionate team supported by our experienced Theatre Manager. Our focus at all times is on ensuring that our patients receive high quality expert treatment quickly, in clean and comfortable surroundings, and youll do everything you can to ensure the patients treatment is of the highest evidence based standard. You will act as an advocate for the patient in the intra-operative phase and be responsible for total patient care in the perioperative phase. Participation in ordering, audit and review processes within the department will form an integral part of your role to ensure optimal patient care and best practice.

As an experienced Scrub Practitioners or ODP, youve probably become used to sacrificing your evenings, Sundays and bank holidays for the job you love. Well, we can offer you a great role being part of a friendly, welcoming and expert multidisciplinary theatre team., A Registered NMC Nurse with experience of being a scrub practitioner in a theatre, or an HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner, with:

  • knowledge and experience of working with an orthopaedic, general and/or ophthalmology team will be key in this role
  • are fully up to date with current research and developments in theatre practise
  • have a sound knowledge of Health and Safety/Risk management within the operating department

    Salary of up to £39,357 per annum
  • Working 3 x 9.5 hour, 1 x 9 hours day between Monday and Saturday
  • No on-call, no night work or working on Sundays or bank holidays
