Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Theatres Stock Management Officer to work as part of a team to provide an efficient and reliable Materials Management Service within our Theatres. This role will mainly be based at Winchester Hospital but there are times when you would need to cover other sites so we are looking for someone who is able to be flexible.
Setting up and maintaining department stock profiles (including high value "non-stock" items procured directly from Suppliers). Producing and analysing reports in order to implement standardisation and rationalisation initiatives. Working under own initiative, being responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day Materials Management operation within Theatres.
Undertake counts to replenish stock to agreed levels. Meeting ordering and delivery deadlines for consumables . Dealing with urgent requests (i.e.., procedural urgency/quality/price/supply route etc.) and implement effective ordering and distribution mechanisms., We are committed to equality and diversity in both the provision of our services and how we recruit and manage our staff. Understanding Materials Management principles and process including stock control, ordering, invoicing and customer care skills, acquired through NVQ level 3 or foundation stage of CIPS or equivalent experience in a Materials Management role.
Basic level experience of Windows applications Word and Excel.
Experience of being able to work under own initiative without direct supervision to achieve completion of tasks relating to own areas of responsibility.
