Full Job Description

You will be part of a small team of people and to assist the Technical and Facilities Manager, and the Technical Supervisor in the delivery of all technical requirements across its three venues. As one of the Theatre Technicians, you will work with the rest of the team as they support our diverse range of incoming shows, run cinema screenings, and contribute to the day-to-day running of the department and its assets.

Key Requirements

To work within a team of three full time technicians, and to support one apprentice technician and a pool of casual technicians. On occasion, being deployed to facilitate events at the Town Hall and Leamington Art Gallery and Museum, to support a wide variety of events and openings throughout the year. A working knowledge of Health and Safety laws and best practice requirements, and ensure the team conforms to these regulations. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, providing technical expertise on shows and events. At least 1-year practical experience of the rigging, operations and programming of theatrical lighting equipment and programming of live performance sound equipment (including digital) or qualification in a theatre discipline.

This post is based in Royal Spa Centre and is not suitable for home or hybrid working.

Technicians are based at The Royal Spa Centre with staff, on occasion, being deployed to facilitate events at the Town Hall and Leamington Art Gallery & Museum, to support a wide variety of events and openings throughout the year.
