Full Job Description

The main duties of the role will oversee all surgical specialities, ensuring smooth patient flow, managing staff, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction, coordinating and supporting a Theatre team.

The post holder will be expected to provide care to elective patients. To deputise for the Ward Manager as required.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Scrub Practitioner to help lead the Day surgery theatre team.

The Day Surgery Unit (DSU) is a high turnover unit currently running 5 Theatres, specialising in a range of surgical disciplines including Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Plastics, Dermatology, Ophthalmology and Pain.

The role is an excellent opportunity to advance your clinical leadership skills and support education for team members within the surgical setting.

We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal, leadership and management skills who can empower and inspire a team.

Staff are expected to support other sites within the health board, when necessary, thus the successful candidate must demonstrate flexibility within their service
