Full Job Description

Achieving for Children (AfC) is opening a second children's home whilst also developing our outreach services to children and young people on the edge of care. Therefore we are now looking to recruit workers who are attracted to a role which will include both working within a children's home setting and offering outreach support to children in the community. We are excited to announce the opening of a new home in Old Windsor, offering a range of exciting opportunities to join our team. Come and be part of our pioneering residential and edge of care outreach service which will involve working across different sites including Old Windsor, Teddington and by 2026, Surbiton. You'll be working alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality care and keeping children within their families wherever possible. There will be opportunities for growth and development within this team whilst contributing to our ongoing work supporting children and families.

The Therapeutic Intervention Worker will provide day to day care of children and young people within a family based environment that promotes positive attachments and relationships.

You will work alongside the wider framework of professionals and families in order to understand a child's life experience and respond and act in ways that promote a child's opportunities and potential.

Work directly with children and young people.
Provide the best quality of personalised nurturing care that meets the needs of very vulnerable young people.

Contribute to developing and maintaining a stimulating, nurturing home where children feel happy, cared for and safe.

Provide 1-to-1 outreach support to children, young people and families in their own homes and in the community.
