Therapies Lead | Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust

As a Therapies Lead you will lead a team of therapists and exercise instructors andbe responsible forthe Therapy Service withinForstonClinic. You willfacilitatethe recovery journey through specialist inputand provide specialist therapies involvement using evidence-based client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate intervention with people with Mental Health needs and theircarers.

You willbe responsible forthe planning, developing, and evaluating of the Therapy provision in line with service developments and work in close liaison with other managers and lead clinicians within the service.

This is afull timepost Monday to Friday 8:00 to 16:00.

Ensuring the delivery of high-quality person-centred services with a focus on integrated care which always considers people's safety,privacyand dignity.

Day-to-day management and leadership of the clinical team.

Acting as a champion for clinical standards and for continuous improvement in the service user experience.

Ensurethe delivery of up-to-date evidence-based practiceandcontribute to the planning and design of services in line with Trust, locality, and governmentobjectivesto meet the needs of local people.

Co-ordinating student placements and ensuring that the therapies team provides a high standard of undergraduate clinical education.

The development of sensory assessment, guidelines, and recommendations alongside the Trusts Professional Lead for OT's sensory workstream.

Working in partnership with Dorset Mental Health Forum in delivering the Trusts Autism in Acute Inpatient Mental Health Settings Project across 10 inpatient acute and dementia wards

Workingalong sidethe Hospital to Home Transition Service to support the transition of people back into the community after an admission on the acute wards.
