Full Job Description

The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and experienced Therapy Assistant to be part of their friendly, supportive and dedicated Inpatient Therapy team.

The Therapy Assistant role provides support and assistance to the Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists during multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment of patients within the clinical team. The role requires excellent communication skills to be able to liaise with patient, families and their carer, as well as the immediate clinical and the wider multidisciplinary team. The role works clinically under the supervision of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists and Assistant Therapy Practitioners for all aspects of patient care and treatment, equipment provision and documentation.

Your role will involve supporting and working alongside a team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Assistant Therapy Practitioners in the assessment and treatment of patients that have been admitted to hospital for a variety of reasons.

Flexibility and a commitment to weekend work and extended days in the future is expected in order to provide patients with a seven-day service 365 days per year.
