Full Job Description

Due to additional investment into Hertfordshire's Children and Young People's Integrated Therapy Service (CYPT), we have an exciting new 3- tiered sensory service to support neurodivergent children and young people (CYP). This is an exciting time for Hertfordshire as we grow our support offer to provide specialist services to meet the sensory needs of CYP. As a team we are aligned to the Children and Young People's Specialist Services Directorate and work closely with our CYPT service and system partners including voluntary sector organisations, mental health services, social care and education We are looking to recruit a 0.6 WTE (22.5 hours per week) Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join our growing team. The sensory model is designed with universal, targeted and specialist tiers to assist families and educational settings in implementing strategies to support participation in activities of daily life. You will be part of a friendly and supportive integrated team delivering a locally driven, needs led service; ensuring children and their families are at the heart of service delivery. HCT provides both internal and external CPD to support staff in developing and maintaining competencies., The Children's Sensory Service is based on a 3 Tier model of service delivery, with provision at Universal, Targeted and Specialist tiers. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, sensitive and trustworthy. They will demonstrate an ability to work alone in the community with both direct and remote support from qualified staff. They will be willing to develop their skills and work effectively with others. We can offer:

  • Opportunities to work alongside other therapists/assistants to deliver intervention to children/young people requiring support
