Therapy Assistant - Stroke / Neuro

The key responsibilities of the position will be to work closely with the Neuro MDT team to support patients following a neurological event with their rehabilitation . The role involves primarily supporting patients on a 1:1 basis, in groups, and alongside qualified therapists to help patients regain their independence. This may include supporting patients to achieve independence in personal care such as toileting, washing and dressing. Clinical support and training will be provided by qualified therapists as part of the wider MDT. This is a great opportunity to gain new skills and work in an exciting and dynamic team.

The post-holder will need to hold a full UK driving license and have access to a car. It is also essential to have some basic IT skills.

We are looking for candidates with enthusiasm for supporting people with their rehabilitation, ability to work on their own initiative as well as within a close team. Previous experience of working with people is essential, preferably in a rehab environment. The service covers 7 days, so the successful candidate will be required to participate in weekend working.
