Therapy Co-ordinator

You will be responsible for the operational management of a therapy service and leading on service developments and quality improvement initiatives. Initially the role will be to provide operational management and leadership to the stroke and neurology therapy teams as well as some smaller community therapy teams. There is an opportunity to engage in some clinical duties as appropriate to the role., The postholder is responsible for the operational management of aspects of the therapy services. This includes responsibility for all aspects of staff management, governance, patient and staff safety, risk management and service quality across the area(s). The postholder has responsibilities related to the professional leadership role. These involve responsibility for assessing and interpreting the impact of NHS policy and/or local development proposals on aspects of the service, communicating them effectively to staff and advising the Head of Service. The postholder is responsible for leading on service delivery and influencing and promoting the contribution that the service can make to support NHS transformation in line with the NHS Plan. This will include working in partnership with organisations across Place to deliver highly effective, quality, patient centred services. The post holder will act as a source of expertise in the provision of advice and information to the Trust and partner organisations, which is evidence based, and tailored to the needs of the individual, population and group or organisation. The postholder will be responsible for managing a delegated therapy budget, ensuring that resources are utilised effectively.
