We make health happen: Reporting to the Group Director of Operational Resilience, this is a stretching and varied role providing leadership, subject matter expertise, delivery and guidance to implement the Operational Resilience Frameworks and help develop the Third Party Risk management Capabilities. This is an exciting role, shaping the capabilities for the Group and acting as the subject matter expert across both insurance and health. This is a new role and you'll have the opportunity to shape it in a growing global organisation. How you'll help us make health happen:

  • Champion the operational resilience agenda across the enterprise, supporting the delivery of the Group Operational Resilience Framework acting as SME
  • Help develop the third party risk management capabilities across the lifecycle, working as an SME supporting the Procurement Function.
  • Ensure there is appropriate governance,, framework works, controls, tooling and guidance to support the organisation in managing its third party risk that does not compromise operational resilience
  • Working alongside senior stakeholders developing best practice
  • Compile Third party risks management metrics and data to inform Bupa's third party resilience position and executive board level reporting and ensure timely, accurate and effective third party risk management reporting to Executive Committees, Boards and Regulators.
  • Supporting the Group Director of Operational Resilience in executing against the strategic direction across the enterprise for operational resilience
  • Playing an active and supportive role in Bupa's Operational Resilience community to further the strategic goals.
  • Acting with integrity and being a credible and trusted partner, developing strong relationships with senior stakeholders and teams.

    Education to bachelor's degree Level or higher
  • Depth of experience in working in large corporate / complex business, in Operational Resilience and third party risk management
  • A problem-solving mindset, experienced not only at risk identification but working with the market units to influence and find solutions that improve risk management
  • Strong understanding of Global Third party risk management regulatory requirements, with the ability to translate complex, technical reg developments in a way that resonates and engages business stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience at running cross functional, cross business projects.
  • Strong data-driven approach analytical and problem-solving skills gained within a financial, regulatory or risk environment.
  • Experience and expertise across the full range of operational resilience risk management, with a focus on assessing the operational resilience roadmap, important business services, impact tolerances and service mapping, oversight of scenario testing, KRIs and risk appetite.
  • Strong Communication skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong sense of ownership and delivery, aligned with Bupa's values.
  • Ability to act with good judgement and discretion.
