Full Job Description

  • Engage and maintain networks with Business and Domain Leads across the UK
  • Contribute to the functions future strategic direction.
  • Promote the functions capabilities, processes and added value of the team to all stakeholders within Thales UK.
  • Take responsibility for contributing to team planning, risk management, quality and HSE.
  • Carry out the estimating and bid support for new opportunities.
  • As a Training Specialist, support, share and contribute to the exercising of best practice in the Team. Through the merit of your own actions and performance, consistently demonstrate the value of Learning and Development to our customers.
  • Provide help and direction to less experienced team members.
  • Manage and undertake day-to-day (Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) training activities ensuring their delivery on time, to budget and quality.
  • Work with customer and end user to highlight front line training issues that affect system availability and capability. Recommend changes to training affected processes and procedures and follow through with required updates.
  • Provide training decision outputs within own sphere of responsibility and delegated authority.
  • Analysis of trending training data to manage training design changes required to improve learning outcomes for the end users.
  • Analyse, design and deliver training to UK MOD JSP822 standards to ensure the Company training outputs remain compliant.
  • Compile data, to a variety of national/international/civil/military specifications, and produce physical/electronic deliverables.
  • Set targets for and manage own development with line manager. Seek and share good practice and knowledge to continuously improve own practices., Training systems and solution architecture within an engineering environment.

  • Utilisation and tailoring of Systemised Approach to Training (DSAT, ADDIE).

    • This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance. Please visit the UKSV website for further guidance. To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years' residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
