Full Job Description

  • Manufacture timber products using compressed air nail gun.

  • Assist in the day to day manufacture operations.

  • Manufacture fence panels.

  • Manufacture timber frame building panels.

  • Manufacture of trusses and engineered joists.

  • Aid manufacture of joinery products.

  • Aid manufacture of sheds.

  • Empty/maintain bailer shed.

  • Use machinery when trained to accurately machine/cut timber.

  • Stock taking.

  • Inform appropriate person of low stocks.

  • Appropriate use and wear of PPE.

  • Ensuring the workshop standards are maintained to the highest standard possible. Ensuring the health and safety of employees, tradesmen and visitors.

  • Move supplies to the correct storage areas in a safe and timely manner.

  • Stack timber/products in a safe and tidy manner.

  • Keep walkways and work areas clean and clear of debris or hazards.

  • Report hazards or breach of health and safety to the appropriate person.

  • Remove hazards when appropriate.

  • Ensure that company tools and machines are used in the correct manner and returned to the appropriate storage area.

  • Support staff.

  • Liaise and assist colleagues when necessary.

  • Aid manufacturing staff when required.

  • Perform other related duties as required.

  • Established for over 100 years, we are looking for individuals to join our Manufacturing Team. Working as part of the team to manufacture engineered products to precision company standards, to meet customer and company deadlines. Exceeding customer expectations and contributing to the continual growth of the company.

    Manufacturing Timber Frame Building Panels, Trusses, Fence Panels and Web Joists.

    This is a workshop based role. Manual lifting is required, the use of compressed air nail guns and bench saws.

    Hours are Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm, Friday 7.30am to 3.00pm. Contracted 39 hours per week. You will be required to work overtime during busy periods to meet deadlines. Overtime is until 5.00pm Monday to Friday, Saturday until 12.00 Noon. Weekday overtime is paid at 1.5 x the hourly rate. Saturday overtime is paid at 2 x the hourly rate.
