Full Job Description

We are looking for a Timesheet Administrator to work on HS2 Main Works. As a Timesheet Administrator, you will be responsible for administering the project's timesheet system Timesheet Portal. The role reports directly to the Project Accountant within the project's core finance team and will help support JV partner staff recharges. The role will also aid the wider finance team in assisting the A/P functions.,

  • General administration of finance information and data, ensuring records are maintained for an adequate period, kept securely and sufficient information is kept to meet group requirements.
  • Project Accounting - Integrity of costs and accuracy & transaction processing
  • Financial control, Governance, segregation of duties & process flows
  • Maintenance of sound financial controls, in line with JV guidelines, ensuring that all applicable requirements can be met at all times
  • General Duties
  • To be the link between the project's People team and Finance team, to ensure all new starters and leavers are added/removed from the timesheet system
  • Day-to-day running and maintenance of the timesheet system
  • To become the main point of contact for all timesheet related queries
  • Provide regular reports on missing timesheets and chase for these missing timesheets
  • Work closely with the core finance team on staff recharges from the JV partners and matching these to the timesheet system
  • Assist the A/P teams with invoice processing
  • Supporting the wider Finance & Commercial team with Financial tasks as required
  • Preparing & posting accurate journals/accruals/liabilities in line with accounting policies, accurate cost allocation and analysis costs
  • Analysis of partner charges, obtaining supporting information and query/action incorrect charges

  • Experience of using a computerised timesheet system (Timesheet Portal)
  • Experience of using a computerised accounting system (E1), A physical or mental impairment, which has a substantial and long-term effect (over 12 months) adverse effect on your ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities
  • Demonstrated in your application and pre-interview stage that you meet the minimum job criteria and person specification for the role

  • The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
