From 4 April 2024 overseas workers requiring a general Skilled Worker Visa (such as data analysts, IT and finance professionals, etc) but sponsored by an NHS organisation will need to meet the new salary threshold of £38,700. In addition, applications to the Health and Care Visa route for those occupations paid by NHS bands that are on the immigration salary, a list of skilled jobs which have lower salary requirements, will need to meet the national pay scale for their role or the new minimum salary threshold of £23,200 (whichever is higher). This would be an ideal opportunity for the successful candidate to extend on existing skills and develop further skills and knowledge within the tissue viability discipline.
The role entails dealing with patients who have pressure ulcers, leg ulcers and other complex wound care needs. The post holder would also be expected to undertake triage duties . The potential post holder needs to have experience in leg ulcer and pressure ulcer management and existing wound care skills as well as being able to undertake educational programmes to patients and clinicians.
The potential post holder needs to be a committed and confident individual who is conscientious, dynamic and pro-active and has excellent communication and organisational skills.
