Full Job Description
We have a full time Band 7 role within our growing physical health team managing tissue viability across our in-patient services as well as supporting staff with specialist training in wound management. As such we are looking for an experienced nurse with experience in tissue viability who can also advise staff on physical health complaints and support improvements in physical health care.
We are a key part of the Nursing and Quality Corporate Service Line and work closely with colleagues in the Nursing Development Team. The post holder will be based at our new hospital in Tooting with access to specified training suites designed for the teams sole use., The post holder will hold a qualification in Tissue Viability or be willing to complete a course within the first year of employment. The role will also involve the development of policies relating to pressure ulcer care and the post holder should be able to provide education to individual wards and units or plan and prepare a training day for staff to attend.
The Physical Health team are responsible for assisting and advising staff on the management of acute and long term physical health complaints, this can vary from attending MDT meetings to the physical review of a service user on the ward.
