Full Job Description

The post holder will be responsible for providing clinical advice and support to staff on all aspects of wound care under the direction and supervision of the Tissue Viability CNS. They will also be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Trust wide pressure ulcer improvement plan.

The post holder will initially be based in the specialty of Tissue Viability which is part of the corporate care group.

The Specialist Practitioner/Nurse will be an experienced practitioner who uses specialist knowledge and skills to support the provision of safe and effective wound and skin care. They will work with multi professional clinical teams, carers and their families., The post holder will deliver clinical advice and support to staff for patients with wounds and skin related conditions as well as delivering the pressure ulcer prevention action plan.

They will provide education and training for staff on all aspects of Tissue Viability practice and facilitate the development of the Tissue Viability Link practitioners.
