Tissue Viabillity Nurse

Do you have a passion to make a difference to people living with wounds in the community? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tissue Viability Nurse post with Your Healthcare for a 12 month fixed term contract (commencing November 2024) to cover maternity leave., You will work with our community nursing teams, local practice nurses, inpatient ward and local care homes to support them in providing effective, patient-centred wound care, offering specialist advice and support for people with a variety of wounds. The successful candidate must possess relevant knowledge, skills and experience in pressure ulcer, leg ulcer and complex wound management. Knowledge of national guidance around pressure ulcer reporting and management, and leg ulcer management is essential.

Provision of wound care training is an integral part of the role and therefore previous experience in training and/or mentorship is highly desirable.

You will need to be well organised and able to plan your own workload, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work autonomously making clinical decisions and providing guidance to other clinicians.
