Full Job Description

As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our facilities remain clean, comfortable, and inviting for both patients and staff. With a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of teamwork, you'll help maintain the highest standards of hygiene throughout the hospital. Your duties will include general cleaning as well as assisting with beverage rounds on the wards, making flexibility key to the role. Main duties of the job We offer a 15-hour per week contract, with the following work pattern : Monday to Friday, from 5pm to 8pm.

We are seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team of Domestic Assistants at Maidstone Hospital!, We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills who are well-motivated, hardworking, and ready to contribute as part of a supportive team. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.,

  • Good general education
  • NVQ level 2 Cleaning and Support Services
  • Desirable criteria
  • Relevant cleaning qualification - BICSc
  • Cleaning Operators Proficiency Certificate
  • Experience Essential criteria
  • Ability to effectively communicate / interact with others (both verbal and written)
  • Understanding of why cleaning is important, Knowledge of the hospital sites
  • Colour coding and prevention of cross infection
  • Previous usage of cleaning equipment
  • Skills Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of domestic cleaning
  • Commitment to ensure good standards of cleanliness are maintained
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to adapt to changes in working practice
  • Self starter with ability to follow direction
  • Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience working in clinical environment
  • Ability to use initiative
